How do I answer a client's invoice request?

Issue the invoice in your own invoicing tool, then upload the PDF. The client downloads it from their payments.

Updated October 29, 2026

Clients can ask for an invoice for any payment, online or in cash. The app doesn't issue invoices: you issue it in your own invoicing tool, as your country requires, and upload the PDF.

  1. Open Finances in the sidebar, then the Invoices tab.
  2. Under Invoice requests, find the request. It shows the payment and the buyer details: Invoice to, Tax ID and Address.
  3. Tap Copy details and paste them into your invoicing tool.
  4. Issue the invoice there and save it as a PDF.
  5. Back in the app, tap Upload invoice.
  6. Choose the PDF (up to 10 MB). Add the Invoice number if you like; it helps your accountant.
  7. Tap Upload and send.

The client gets the invoice, and can download it any time from their payments.

Your details on invoices

Your business name, tax ID, registration number, address and invoice footer live under Finances, then Setup, in Business details. There you can also add your accountant's email.

Tip: Every payment already comes with a payment confirmation for the client. An invoice is only needed when they ask for one.
